On last Saturday, May 7th, 2011, I randomly started making Wheatley in Photoshop and thought he looked pretty awesome (I didn't upload him yet, I'll do it sooner or later). That gave me the idea to make ATLAS and P-body and, eventually, that evolved into this. Originally, I only made their heads, but I felt like the rest of their bodies just had to be done - and what a terrible idea that was. My god, it took
forever! It was definitely worth it in the end, though.
After finishing the bots themselves (which was... Monday, I think), having no ideas for the background, I went to Twitter for ideas. Moments later, Andrew Glasscock (@bigopinion_pro; give him a follow, I dare you!) suggested I should do American Gothic ("American Gothic, but with Portal. Do it") and I thought it was the best idea since sliced bread. Along the way, him and my buddy ~
PumpkinsTheBrave were a big help, suggesting various things (the idea to have P-body in glasses actually came from Pumpkins), letting me know how it looked and all that. Thanks 256, you guys!

All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with this. I'm still not sure how I feel about the background so if anyone has any ideas, please, don't keep them to yourself!
Also, here are the co-op bots in their full-view form:
